Final Briefing - Nadi
Sat 09 Dec 2023 06:11 UTC
Throughout Cross the Ditch 25, Fiji lies at the boundary of a large high pressure system covering much of the Tasman Sea to the southwest, and an area of disorganised low pressure to the north and east. Conditions are likely to be changeable but generally improving as the event progresses. Morning thunderstorms are currently forecast to clear before pilots arrive in the area. The final forecast for Nadi is for a cloudy afternoon with moderate southeasterly winds and temperatures in the high twenties (celsius). The active runway will likely be Runway 02 and/or 09. Further south, a large area of high pressure dominates the Tasman Sea extending as far north as New Caledonia and Vanuatu. This will bring largely settled weather to the region. The final forecast for Noumea is for a mostly fine afternoon with moderate easterly winds and temperatures in the high twenties (celsius). The active runway will likely be Runway 11.
