Scenery

All of the airports in this event are represented in the default FS9 and FSX sceneries: you don't need any add-on scenery to take part in the event.

But there are a number of scenery packages available that improve the visuals for some of the places you'll be flying, and these are listed below.

Auckland

• ORBX New Zealand - North Island FSX Payware

  This package, available here, provides stunning high res scenery for all of New Zealand's North Island (including Auckland and Wellington Airports).

Brisbane

• Ant's Aussie Airports - Brisbane FSX Freeware

  This scenery, available here, is a freeware photoreal Brisbane Airport scenery, designed with a particular emphasis on high framerates.

• ORBX Australia FSX Payware

  This scenery, available here, provides custom mesh and land class for the entire continent of Australia.

  Note, this product upgrades the terrain mesh and land class only - there are no changes to the airports within the product area.

  For those looking for a cheaper version, ORBX also sell their Australian terrain mesh/land class scenery split into four separate regional products: the area around Brisbane is covered by AU Gold.

• ORBX Brisbane FSX Payware

  This scenery, available here, provides a highly detailed upgrade from the default FSX Brisbane airport.

  Note, this product is extremely detailed and can be hard on the frame rates for pilots with lower-spec machines. If they intend to use this scenery, pilots are well advised to test it before the event and if necessary turn down some of the options in order to achieve optimum performance.

• Vista Australis v1.8 FS9 Freeware

  This freeware FS9 scenery, available here, updates the default scenery for Australia providing numerous layout and visual improvements, including Melbourne International.
